  “nothing out of my pocket ....... and my Jag is ....well better then new. they even fix my rear bumper for no charge ..... free towing .....thanks Brian & Rich PS I told my Insurance about the crappy job they did the last time and thay should replace their shop with yours Thanks, The Mayor”

  “HANDS DOWN THE ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD WITH A BODY SHOP!!!
  
  Not only are these people ambulance chasers but they also are major con-artists and grade-A frauds.
  
  It appears that A-1 Grand Auto Body of Garden City Park, NY has a scam arrangement in place. We were involved in an accident at which, before the police could discuss possible towing options for our car, a chief from the local fire department pulls up stating that he has a tow truck right around the corner, that we need not worry, he'll be right back and it will take a lot less time towing with him than waiting for the police to call a tow service.
  
  10 minutes later, the chief pulls up with an A-1 Grand Auto Body truck. He suggested that we have the repair work done at A-1 Grand Auto Body however we stated that we had a body shop, which we had already contacted that we use in these cases and that was expecting the car that very night. The chief assured us he would tow the car to our preferred body shop that night however 6 days later, we found that our car was sitting in the yard at A-1 Grand Auto Body.
  
  When asked why the chief didn't tow our car to our body shop and why no one contacted us about the location of our car, the owner of A-1 Grand Auto Body responded that his employee (the chief) went on a 12-day cruise vacation, that he couldn't reach him and that he must have taken all of the paperwork with our contact information with him. (We swear you cannot make this stuff up!!!)
  
  The owner of A-1 Grand Auto Body then informed us that in addition to the towing fees, we also owed him storage fees for all of the days the car sat idle in his yard. The car would not be released to us or to our preferred auto body shop (where the car was originally supposed to be towed) unless we paid these hundreds of dollars in fees...in cash.
  
  After much wasted time and energy, the police ended up getting involved in this situation simply in order for us to regain possession of our very own car.
  
  We cannot begin to explain the aggravation, verbal abuse and stress we endured in dealing with the owner and his employees at A-1 Grand Auto Body, located on Herricks Road.
  
  In retrospect, it is curious that a local fire chief who uses a radio which not only alerts him to fires but also provides information on and locations of area automobile accidents, pulled up to the scene of our accident just at the right time - with the promise that he will return in a few minutes with a tow truck.
  
  We STRONGLY WARN that everyone PLEASE BE AWARE of A-1 Grand Auto Body of Garden City Park, NY as it is a company that is clearly involved in unethical, fraudulent and potentially criminal activities. We sincerely hope that recounting our experience can save even just one person from undergoing the burden and distress along with the loss of time, energy and money we were forced to sustain as a result our dealings with this auto body shop.”
